Logan Surpassed Predicted Sales
18,000 Units May Be Sold This Year
The success the new Dacia model, Logan, had on the market since its official launching made the Dacia – Renault officials revise the sale estimations for the year, from 11,000 to 18,000 units sold.
“We are very careful with the figures and predictions. It is true that the number of clients choosing the new model is above our expectations, but we don’t get high on this success”, said Constantin Stroe, Automobile Dacia vice president.
During the first day of its existence on the Romanian market (September 9) Logan received 568 firm orders, while 271 solicitors paid the full earnest money.
More than 7,500 persons tested Logan, also in the first day, say the company representatives. After just one day, on September 10, there were 12,225 orders for Logan. 64% of them referred to the 1.4 liters engine, while the rest were for the 1.6 liters model.
The Laureate version counted for 40% of the orders, Preference attracted 27%, while the top model of the line, Ambition, was chosen by some 19% of the clients.
